What has led to our concept… Partly my own journey in looking for a more meaningful way of spending my life, being in good health and finding work- life balance.
You hear the word Wellness attached to so many different aspects of life from Women’s wellness looking at nutrition to menopause, to Sleep wellness, to Work wellness. But does wellness mean? Believe it or not there is no real global definition of Wellness, the two that resonated with me are:
“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”
“Wellness is an active, lifelong process of becoming aware of choices and making decisions toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.”
There is now an entire day dedicated to Wellness! Yes, Global Wellness Day 11 June 2016. It is fast approaching and we have some exciting things planned at Urban Bliss Wellness Spa, to help you either take your first step or stay on course to living well!

First celebrated in 2012, Global Wellness Day was established in Turkey as the “first” day dedicated to living well, and has now been accepted world-wide, and it is officially celebrated in 73 countries in 2015, reflecting its success..

In order to make Wellness a lifestyle, Global Wellness Day aims to adopt the following seven simple steps. What is important is not to implement all of the steps all at once, but to incorporate at least just a few of them into your daily life on a regular basis.
My personal 8th step is to make me time once a month! by having a facial, reflexology and a massage. When I can all in the same afternoon but when time is not on my side at least a foot massage while I am having my face revived! Absolute Bliss!
